Hitting the Trenches For Fall
Even with summer season in full swing, maybe it’s time to put splashing in the pool on hold and dive into a Fall wardrobe primer instead. Trench coats are coming back with a vengeance, and there’s no short supply of shiny and metallic fabrics with the classic French cut.
This Nina Ricci Trench Coat with Scarf offers diagonal seams for a chic and sassy form-fitting ensemble; perfect for most body shapes, it leaves behind a trail of mystery as you tie it up with the hidden button closure and ribbon ties in front.

If it’s metallics you’re after (sunglasses recommended), dazzle away with a L.A.M.B. Metallic Trench Coat. A sharp gold buckle and longer length makes it ideal for Capri lengths of the season. . .or just hiding a questionable outfit.

The classiest of the pack still comes from London; the original creator of the much-loved trench, Burberry brings us the Ivybridge Trench Coat with signature lining and knee-skimming length to team up with your work skirt. Pull it together with a wide belt and strappy cuffs, and you’ll be well-protected for that rain shower—in London, or not.

Burberry Ivybridge: $945
Nina Ricci Black Trench: $3,190
L.A.M.B. Trench: $615

I love the Nina Ricci coat. It’s unusual enough to definitely turn some heads. The length is perfect too.

I like the Nina Ricci too, but my heart’s with the one from L.A.M.B. I own a gold-ish quilted trench and I get complements every time I wear it. For anyone looking to feel like the coolest person yet to walk in a room, the gold coat’s the way to go.
