It’s official. I am trendy. Last weekend I put on a pair of tights and a nice pair of ankle boots, and I wasn’t ashamed of it. I always avoid trends like the plague when the come out! My freshaman year of high school everyone started wearing flip-flops. I didn’t think that it would last, but here I am, wearing a pair. A few years later capris were seen on the runway. I have some on with those flip-flops I swore I would not wear. It’s just inevitable. I might as well embrace it. I’ve chosen to embrace tights, leggings, long sweaters, and ankle boots this season.

Girl with a Pearl Necklace

Remember that scene of Office Space where the temp asks Peter if he has a “case of the Mondays?” Well, it’s not Monday, but I feel like I have a case of the Wednesdays. I can hardly see the start of the week and I cannot see the end of the week. However, the second I saw this Lanvin Three Strand Pearl Necklace , there was light at the end of the tunnel, a shiny jewel encrusted tunnel.

It’s tied with a beautiful ribbon and embelished ropes and grosgrain ties. This would go well with a ruffled shirt for work or another LBD for a night out. This one is going on my Christmas list. Net-A-Porter has it listed for $1,120.

Baby it’s Cold Outside! Time for a Sweater!

It has finally gotten cold enough where I am from to bring out the sweaters and socks. For that reason, I’ve decided it’s time to start sweater shopping! Now, if only I could find a way to wear this MARC by Marc Jacobs Raleigh Sequence Sweater everyday! The wool sweater comes with row after row of these sequences along with a hook closure that make it a lot fancier than my everyday plain cotton sweater that I wear to work.

This would be a great addition to the closet of the girl who needs something to go over the LBD or in addition to a pair of classic black pants and some classic strappy shoes.

Fendi Runway Large Baguette with Paillettes Has Some Flavor!

I’ve been looking at Fendi bags recently and have been noticing quite a trend, a Native American trend. You can see it in the Beaded Spy Bag, Paillette Spy Bag, the Island Spy Bag, and can also see it in this smaller Runway Large Baguette with Laillettes Bag.

The Runway Large Baguette has a smooth grained multicolored leather which created an ethnic triangle pattern reminiscent of a Native American quilt. There’s a bit of fringe attached to add some moew character. There’s also a detachable strap included so you can make this a clutch as well. It measures at 16″ long x 8.25″ wide x 3″ deep. A Play on the Classic Black Work Blazer

One of this year’s biggest trends is a classic black blazer. Celebs like Rhianna have been the blazer for a while and we’ve just now started to catch on to it.

Christian V. Siriano, the fourth season winner of Project Transformation has created a play on this trend with his Christian V. Siriano black plaid taffeta ‘London Guard’ ruffle bolero from Bluefly.com. This jacket is black and grey plaid with snap placket with pleated ruffle trim, short puff sleeve with single snap cuff and a contemporary fit.

Dolce & Gabbana Ocelot Print Dress

For me it seems to be birthday season. Everyone keeps calling asking me to come to birthday parties and to events where I have to get dressed up for them. Too bad for them, it just means more shopping! My latest find for a luxurious birthday party is this D&G Dolce & Gabbana Ocelot Print Silk Chiffon Dress from Nordstrom for $1,495.00.

Too bad it isn’t going to be available until next spring!! Yet another one that I’ll have to pre-order. The dress has ruffles added to the tiers of ocelot animal print. When was the last time you wore a leopard or zebra print shirt, shoe, or purse? It was probably a few weeks ago. Well, ocelot is a new animal print to add to your list of animal prints! I think it’s absolutely adorable. I’d put on a pair of strappy shoes and hit the dance floor in this one!

Free People Ensemble

Gucci Barcelona Tennis Shoes

There comes a time in the year when a girl must put on a pair of tennis shoes, not because she wants to, but because she has to. Whether it is working out at the gym or working out in the yard a girl has to have a pair of cool tennis shoes. This pair of Gucci Barcelona tennis shoes from Raffaello Network.com for $448 are sparkling and a good additon to any sneaker head’s collection.

They’re lace up with a leather sole and have the Gucci label on the front. They’re Hot! I would totally wear them door knocking. The white with the stone grey accents is something you will only be able to find with a Gucci label on it.

Carolina Herrera Polka Dot Silk Dress

Sometimes I wish my job was more glamorous. Other days, when I find a nice pair of jeans and a comfy t-shirt, I think “Why, oh why, do people put on skirts, dresses, and nice shoes on a daily basis when you can work somewhere where jeans and flip-flops are the norm?” Then I find something like this Carolina Herrera-Polka Dot Silk Dress from Saks Fifth Avenue for $2,190 makes me feel like dressing up for at least a week.

The dots differentiate, so they don’t look too boring. I am always afraid of that when I look at dresses with polka dots. They’re either boring or overwhelming. These are perfect. Along with the altering polka dots, the ruffles add some retro styling to the look. I would definitely choose to wear a pair of t-straps or mary janes with this dress. Purple is such a beautiful color. When it is a deep purple it’s very sophisicated and put together. When it’s bright and sunny it can be worn as a punch of fun and enthusiasm. I wear them both ways. Michael Kors has combined the sophisticated punch of purple with a bit of fun with the Berkley Patent Clutch for $198 from eluxury.com.I’ve found the bag in a zebra print, chocolate, and a plain black as well. All of them are winners.

I’m choose the purple because it’s got a bit of trendy side to it, but its still classic because of the cluth style. All these bags are patent leather (of course), have amazing top stiching, great silver metal hardware with the engraved Michael Kors name written on it. They measure 12 inches by 8 inches by 2.75 inches.
